Challenge 100 is Epilepsy Society's brand new virtual challenge for 2021. So whether you're looking to kick start a new year's resolution, or make 2021 your year - we'd love you to join in the fun.

There's only one rule with this challenge: you must complete at least 100 miles in less than 100 days. How you complete it, is up to you!

  • You can walk, run, cycle, static cycle, swim, kayak, hop, skip or jump your 100 miles but just make sure you complete them before the 10 April 2021.
  • You can sign up for a solo challenge or create a team of people all completing Challenge 100 together.
  • If you think you can beat the 100 mile target (or £100 fundraising target!), why not set yours higher!

Event details

Event dates: 1 January 2021 - 10 April 2021

Registration Fee: £5 per person
Minimum sponsorship target: £100 per person (everyone who raises £100 and completes the change will receive a Challenge 100 medal once the event ends in April)

Why we need your support

1 in 100 people in the UK are living with epilepsy, and a third of those have seizures that cannot be controlled by medication.

In the first few months after the start of pandemic our fundraising income dropped by over 50%. Now more than ever we need your support to keep our research projects and support services going for those who need them most.

£100 could help our research team to analyse genomics data, which will lead to better seizure control.

Every £5 you raise over the target could help distribute tailored information abut epilepsy, ensuring the first five leaflets are free

Every £20 you raise over the target could ensure that someone who desperately needs to talk about their epilepsy can call our helpline

Every £50 you raise over the target could help forward our world-leading research projects, leading to more accurate, personalised treatment

How we'll support you

Our dedicated fundraising team will be on hand to support you with your challenge and will provide you with the following:

  • Digital fundraising guides and materials
  • Access to Epilepsy Society's running and cycling hubs which include training plans and guides
  • Create your fundraising page at the point of registration - your page allows you to collect donations, link it with your Strava account to show supporters your progress, see your progress against others taking on the challenge, set up team pages for you and your team mates
