Harry Snell
My Story
Me and Harry are taking on Epilepsy Society's 79 Squats a Day in July challenge - Every single day in July we will be completing 79 squats to raise money so that the 79 people diagnosed with epilepsy every day can receive the incredible support that Epilepsy Society provide.
I am doing this for our little fighter Harry, Harry has also asked if he can do this challenge with me, unfortunately he is too young to register so I have had to register under my name for him.
Harry started having absences when he was around 4 years old, these went away for a couple of years but his epilepsy returned last year and his seizures have become more distressing for him and the family. They are now occuring around 1-2 times per month and last around 30 minutes. Harry is fully conscious and is aware they are happening and he gets quite distressed. He loses colour, shakes and has involuntary movements in his hands. He feels sick and dizzy and similar to when you faint. I want to raise awareness that not all epilepsy can be characterised as the tonic clonic seizures that you see in the media where people fall to the floor and lose consciousness.
Please support Harry in his challenge, he is the one who wants to do this and help raise awareness and we are incredibly proud of him.
Please help me raise as much as possible to ensure that everyone diagnosed with epilepsy can receive the support they need!
A £5 donation could help distribute tailored information about epilepsy, ensuring the first five leaflets are free
A £20 donation could ensure that someone who desperately needs to talk about their epilepsy can call Epilepsy Society's helpline
A £50 donation could help forward Epilepsy Society's world-leading research projects, leading to more accurate, personalised treatment
Thank you for your support! Wish me luck!
